Terms of Service

Last updated: February 27, 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By using Stack to Book ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time — continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

What the Service Does

Stack to Book converts publicly available Substack newsletter content into EPUB ebook files. The Service is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use. We also offer a paid Premium tier with additional features.

Acceptable Use

When using Stack to Book, you agree to:

  • Only convert publicly available content
  • Not attempt to bypass paywalls or access restricted content
  • Not use the Service for bulk scraping, automated harvesting, or any purpose beyond personal reading
  • Not redistribute converted ebooks commercially
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Respect the intellectual property of newsletter authors

Content & Copyright

Newsletter content converted through Stack to Book remains the intellectual property of the original authors. Stack to Book does not claim ownership of any converted content. The Service is intended for personal offline reading — similar to printing a web page or using your browser's reading mode.

Users are responsible for ensuring their use of converted content complies with applicable laws and respects the rights of original authors.

Copyright Takedowns

We respect the intellectual property rights of content creators. If you are a newsletter author and would like your content removed from our gallery, contact us and we will remove it promptly — no formal legal process required.

For formal DMCA takedown notices, please include: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material on our site, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized. Send to Nikunj Kothari at nikunjk.com.

We will respond to valid takedown requests within 48 hours.

Gallery

Sharing a book to the public gallery is optional. When you share a book, its title, author, cover image, and content become publicly accessible. You can request removal of gallery books at any time by contacting us.

We reserve the right to remove any gallery content that violates these terms or is otherwise inappropriate.

Premium Features

Premium features are available for a one-time fee per book. Payments are processed through Stripe. Premium features include AI-generated covers, introductions, author bios, chapter selection, and featured gallery placement.

Due to the digital nature of the product and the costs involved in generating premium content, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you're unsatisfied with your purchase.

Limitation of Liability

Stack to Book is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that converted files will be perfectly formatted on all devices.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stack to Book shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Availability

We strive to keep the Service available but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

Rate Limits

To ensure fair use, we apply rate limits to conversions. Excessive automated requests may be temporarily blocked.

Termination

We may restrict access to the Service for users who violate these terms. Since no account is required, this would typically involve IP-based restrictions for abusive behavior.
